RHoK welcomes Craig Zamiello to share some of his experiences from his -now more than 45-year career as a Master Printer at 2 renowned print studios in New York: 2 Palms Press and ULAE, as well as his personal artistic work dealing with Printmaking as an artistic medium.

Craig Zammiello is a master printer and artist with over 45 years of experience in all areas of printmaking. He is the author of a studio manual on photogravure, and co-author of the book ‘Conversations from the Print Studio’ with Elizabeth Hodermarsky, published by Yale University Press.

For 25 years at Universal Limited Art Editions, in the positions of printer, master printer and studio manager, Craig collaborated with numerous artists, notably Jasper Johns, Elizabeth Murray, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Kiki Smith and Terry Winters. Currently, he works on special projects as a Master Printer at Two Palms with such artists as Matthew Barney, Mel Bochner, Peter Doig, Robert Crumb, Chris Ofili, Cecily Brown and Elizabeth Peyton.

He received his M.F.A. from SUNY Stony Brook in 1995. He has taught numerous workshops and classes at New York University, Yale University, The Robert Blackburn Printmaking Studio, the Royal Academy of Antwerp and the Frans Masereel Center in Belgium. Currently he is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Visual Arts and Graduate Mentor at Columbia University in NYC”.

Zammiello has exhibited his work in the US and abroad. His prints can be found in the collections of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp, Belgium, Yale University Art Gallery, the Wellin Museum of Art and various private collections.
